I had never been a member of a business club until I came across Bowdon Business Club! With a background in nursing there was a very different structure to the working week! Having started my own business a couple of years earlier I was introduced to one of the founder members who suggested I visit the club. A completely new concept to me but I decided to dip my toe in the water!
Healthy competition is always a good motivator! Having 5 other colleagues from the Bowdon Business Club taking part in the CEO Sleepout on Monday 4th November, raising awareness of homelessness and money for our chosen charity, Walking With the Wounded, ensured a determination to see this challenge through.
I recently took part in a sleep out raising much needed funds for the superb charity, Walking with the Wounded. The funds raised will go towards ex-servicemen who, for whatever reason, have fallen on hard times once they have left the forces. This can range from trouble in adapting to normal civilian life, right through to family breakdowns and PTSD which can all lead to homelessness.
On Monday 4th November 2019 a number of members from the business club joined Joel Oxberry, Walking With The Wounded, to take part in the CEO Sleep out to raise money for the charity. Here Joel describes what the CEO Sleep out meant to him.
I have recently gained a new client who tells me he has recently cost himself over £18,000 by previously switching insurance company’s. When he switched policies which he believed were pretty much like for like, he saved himself £100 on his renewal premium.
