Guest speaker Sir Graham Brady visits Bowdon Business Club

We were delighted to welcome back the Altrincham and Sale West M.P. Sir Graham Brady as guest speaker to the Bowdon Business Club at the Mercure Altrincham Bowdon hotel last Friday morning.

The last time Sir Graham joined us was in 2013, although this was not for want of trying, the small matter of a general election in 2015 got in the way of our last attempt.

With so many issues and events over the past few months, Sir Graham gave us a very balanced summary of UK, European and World politics from the inevitable and much ploughed furrow of Brexit to geo political issues in the form of Russia and North Korea and the world response. He also discussed the importance of a strong and connected Northern Powerhouse (both in respect of transportation but also communication) and made the point Manchester is growing as fast as China!

Sadly, there were more questions than time allowed, but Sir Graham stayed after the meeting to network with members and answer further questions.

His visit was very much valued, and we him appreciated him sparing his time to talk to the business group.

As before, Sir Graham is going to choose a local charity to receive a donation.
