Evelyn is Project Coordinator and Group Fundraiser at MedEquip4Kids, the children’s health charity. As part of a small team at the charity, her responsibilities include collating applications for requested equipment, raising vital funds from community groups across the UK and organising annual events like the Manchester Cathedral Sing Along.

About MedEquip4Kids

MedEquip4Kids improves the health of children and babies in the UK by providing equipment not available from limited NHS resources. We believe every child should have access to the best medical care when they need it most.

‘Since 1985, MedEquip4Kids has raised over £20 million, and last year our work benefited over 117,000 children in hospitals across the North West of England and beyond.’ Evelyn says.

The equipment we have funded includes:

• Lifesaving paediatric medical equipment including neo natal monitors, incubators, and defibrillators to help care for the most vulnerable children.
• Play facilities and improved environments to calm and distract children from their illness. These include multisensory rooms, soft play areas, sensory gardens, and child-friendly artwork.
• Equipment to help disabled children to enjoy more independence and a better quality of life, such as walking frames, learning stations and continence training tools.
• Resources including books, toys and games to improve children’s mental health
