Richard runs the Altrincham franchise of the global tutoring service, Tutor Doctor.
“We cover all abilities, all ages, all subjects at all levels” he says, “but because of the local grammar schools, lots of people think that tutoring is only about the 11 plus. In fact, we have twice as many students in secondary school as we do at primary. Our process starts with a visit to the family to understand their goals and needs. Maybe they want top grades to get into a specific course at university, or maybe they want to make sure they pass crucial subjects like Maths and English GCSE. We assign one of our hand-picked tutors to ensure the best possible match between student and tutor, and we firmly believe that one-to-one tutoring is the most effective method of teaching.”
