Steve is an insurance broker who provides all types of general insurance and health protections.
“I’m not only there to provide what I feel are the most suitable and affordable products,” he says. “I am also there to provide support in the event of a claim.” That total service is something Steve is well qualified to provide.
Insight and experience
“From 1987 to 2004 I worked as an independent claims assessor,” he explains. “I would act for the public on claims such as theft, fire and flood. That insight and experience has given me a skill set few brokers have. I like to think all my clients are properly protected should the worst happen. Most people are totally unaware of the flaws in their cover until it’s too late.”

Steve is happy to advise on most categories of insurance. In the general area he provides cover for Household, Travel, Redundancy, Landlord, Commercial Property, Motor and Fleet, Liabilities and Tradesmen. In the health category he is expert in providing cover for Life, Whole of Life, Critical Illness, Accident & Sickness, Permanent Health and Private Medical Insurance.
“The key to my success,” he says, “is providing a level of service that I would expect myself. I always try and exceed client expectations and I will be there for them if the worst happens. My clients are people, not a policy number.”

“I’ve been at Bowdon Business Club for over 10 years and have worked at some point with a lot of the members. Client service is paramount to me and knowing the members as I do, I know I can rely on them.
There’s Nigel Robertson-Talbot at Boss Glazing, for example. If a client has had a break-in they need to have the property secured and ultimately the damage rectified. When I call Nigel I know he will react quickly. This offers some comfort to the client who feels vulnerable. He offers a service that I believe could not be rivalled by any contractor appointed by an insurance company.
I have also recommended my clients wanting pension advice to Fintan Gannon, our IFA. He in turn has recommended me for the general insurance that he doesn’t do.”
